TGV + Bicycle
Are you taking your bicycle with you? There are two ways to travel on board with it: either by paying a €10(1) fee and using the bicycle compartment available in some TGV trains, or for free by dismantling it and carrying it in a bike bag as ordinary luggage.
BICYCLE COMPARTMENTS
When using a bicycle compartment you can be seated nearby, in a second class carriage. The cost is €10 (in addition to the price of your train ticket).
To find out if your TGV has bicycle compartments, check when booking or on velo.sncf.com,
that there is a bicycle symbol next to the train number.
CARRYING YOUR BICYCLE AS ORDINARY LUGGAGE
You must dismantle your bicycle and carry it in a bag measuring no more than 120 cm x 90 cm.
The bag should be placed in one of the luggage compartments available at the ends of each TGV carriage.
This is a complimentary service.
WHERE CAN THIS SERVICE BE BOUGHT?
The service should be booked on purchase of the train ticket, by telephone on 3635 (€0.34 per minute (including tax, exclusive of any additional charges levied by the operator)), at any railway station, SNCF shop or officially approved travel agent.
